Indulgence

Indulgence. That is what I experienced yesterday at Lake Oswego's Farmer's Market. I just couldn't resist the beautiful bouquets of flowers lined up calling my name, enticing me to buy one. I HAD to have one. And for $15 - why not? I purchased my much needed bouqet of flowers and defiantly rode my bike the four miles home. It wasn't until I got home and couldn't find a vase large enough that I second guessed my purchase...

Thank you Wyatt for smiling when I came home with my over sized bunch of flowers and not questioning my impractical thinking.

What is it about flowers that just melts a girl's heart. Love the pitcher.

That's awesome. You rock, girl! Next time you're in Seattle you can get a boquet - or 2 - or 3 - for the same price ;)

The fact that you rode with them on your back all the way home makes up for not having a vase to put them in!

I love flowers, too. H. used to buy them for me every so often, then I put the kibosh on that one bc I was worried about spending the dough. Now I wish I had kept my mouth shut!

H. if you read this, buy me flowers sometime and I won't hassle you about "wasting" the money. No effort you make on my behalf is ever a waste! :)

I can imagine the feeling of just having to have those beautiful flowers. That was one of the things I loved about Sweden--Blumenstorz all over the place! Sometimes I just had to be Swedish and buy some myself--but I always did "plant" instead of fresh because I just hate to have to throw them out eventually. So, Britty, you are Swedish in this, too.

I got a beautiful vase for my wedding 40 years ago that would have been perfect. Alas, I finally gave it away because I never had a bouquet BIG enough to make it look right. Always just a little lonely handful in this great glass vase. Wish I had it now. I would see to it that you have a BIIIIGGGG vase for purchases such as that.

Loved the pics of the "flower girl" on the bike. Passersby just had to love seeing you pedal by.

Love, Momma
