ROCKTOBER!!!!

That's right, the Colorado Rockies are on their way to the World Series! They are, as of 10:40pm PST, the Champions of the National League. Sweet yo! Check it out here. And in case you were wondering, my love for the Rockies doesn't take away from my love for the White Sox. Different Leagues, so it's okay. AND in no way am I supportive of the name "Rocktober" (the media's reference to their journey to the World Series). I think it's dumb.

I must say, we've converted to fans of the Rockies these days. I can't believe they made it. Brent will have a hard time cheering for them if the Red Socks win though...

Britty,

Recently Harold informed me and a couple of our friends that he decided he could really get behind baseball. This was a major announcement because, as you know, he is not a sports fan (unless you count the Tour de France). I just thought it was interesting. Then all of a sudden the Rockies are in the playoffs and Harold is all jazzed. Crazy! I have never had a sports fan husband before. I feel as if my identity is lost. Congrats on the home team making the series. I hope you can make it through long, boring games that are baseball. The only way to suffer through those things is being in the stands with a large drink and stadium food in hand.

As for Rocktober, I have always thought of it that way anyway, so I am not offended by it. :)

Go Rockies. We were really excited to have them in the World Series and wonder why they couldn't have been this good last year while we still lived there. But they'll always be our team.

I've always been a baseball fan and Bill loves it as much. Many hours we have spent watching our home team - - Mariners - - but the Rockies have us hooked. I say the media can call them whatever they want 'Rocktober' after a show like they've been putting on. And BTW, I'm rooting for the Indians to win their playoffs and then I'm back to the Rockies. Looking forward to it.
