How Many Push-Ups Can You Do?

I can do 10. TEN! Which is quite sad because it wasn't more than a few years ago that I remember being able to do 30 or 40. Okay, maybe that's a bit of an exaggeration. But I do remember being able to do several push-ups with little or no effort. And I remember being the girl who could do the most push-ups in gym class when I was in elementary school. Not the case now. Yet another reason why getting old stinks!

At least you're still doing them often enough to know how many you can do! I was the girl who had the record for most sit-ups in a minute and could touch way beyond my toes in elementary school - and now (okay, being 30+weeks prego may have something to do with it) I can barely bend over enough to tie my own shoes! Thanks goodness for flip-flops! I plan on changing that in the next few months, though :)

it's easy to be the one who does the most push-ups when you only weigh 30 pounds. haha. i mean, you are so strong brit!!!!

Okay, I do 50 good ones every night. And I have to FORCE myself to do them, but do because I know I feel so much better in the morning when I do them and my other back strengthening exercises. A couple of years ago I did something stupid on the way out of a hotel to the shuttle one day--don't remember what it was--but when I said I was sorry, the pilot laughed and said maybe he should just tell me to drop and give him 50. I told him that I could do that. He looked at me and said, "You know, somehow I believe that is true. You could."

I must look pretty competent. Though by the last ten pushups I am struggling. When I decided a few years ago to add push ups to my routine, I could barely do three. Then I went up to 70, but they weren't really full extensions. Since I have been going to Curves, I cut back down to 50, and if I do them early in the evening before I get really tired, I can easily let my arms do the push ups automatically.

Enough of the blabbing.
Love, Momma

Hmmm...I don't even try push-ups anymore. Maybe I should. I didn't know they strengthened your back. I thought I was just getting lazy. I'll blame it on getting old:)

Aunt Georgia-I am super impressed.
